Job Posting: Registered Nurse – Casual

Maplewood House and MSA Manor are long term care homes in Abbotsford operated by Maplewood Care Society, a non-profit organization dedicated to the pursuit of excellence in supporting individuals with chronic illness. There are 112 people who live in the two care homes. There is also a Day Program for Older Adults serving an average of 65 clients per week and support for caregivers.

We are currently seeking to fill the position: Casual Registered Nurses – Vacation Relief Positions

The successful candidate is a leader who contributes to the development of a caring, competent and accountable Nursing Team. The Registered Nurse assesses and plans the care of residents, coordinates and supervises others who deliver direct resident care, ensuring that a high standard of care is provided at all times. All duties are performed in a manner that respects the dignity, worth, need for self-respect and self- determination of the individual, and in ways to promote maximum personal and functional independence.

The successful applicant must be currently registered or licensed with CRNBC or CRPNBC, plus two years of nursing experience in geriatrics. The applicant must also hold a CPR and First Aid certificate.
