ANN MARIE LEIJEN
Ann Marie has been the CEO of Maplewood Care Society since 2020. She has 30 years of leadership and operational experience delivering community-based health care programs for older people in long-term care. Ann Marie has demonstrated a profound understanding of the needs of older adults and a commitment to providing them with the highest quality of care.
Ann Marie’s academic achievements include a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from UFV and an MBA from the University of British Columbia. She has served on various boards and currently serves on the BC Care Providers Association Board of Directors. Ann Marie’s leadership is characterized by a rare combination of experience, compassion, and dedication, maker her a truly invaluable asset to the field of long-term care.
Nicole Percival
Nicole, our Chief Clinical Officer recently joined our leadership team this July 2024. She
is a Registered Nurse, who brings extensive experience in Critical Care, Assisted
Living, Home Health, and Primary Care. She has a master’s degree in health leadership
and policy – Seniors Care. She excels in providing culturally competent care for diverse
and complex patient populations. Passionate about interdisciplinary collaboration,
advocacy, and innovation, Nicole is dedicated to optimizing client and system outcomes.
JOY KAZ
Joy has been the Director of Care since 2022. She earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from UBC Okanagan, where her passion for caring for others was ignited. With over a decade of experience in diverse healthcare settings, Joy brings a wealth of expertise to her role. Her compassionate leadership and dedication to nursing shine through in her commitment to empowering seniors and ensuring their well-being, making every moment meaningful for our residents.
LISA MOORE
Lisa, our Director of Resident Lifestyles Community Programs, has over 30 years of experience in Recreation Therapy. Her contributions have significantly elevated the quality of life for our residents and clients. From initiating crucial programs to managing the Recreation Department, Lisa’s dedication and deep commitment to enhancing lives within our community showcases her exceptional leadership and a profound passion for recreation therapy.
AKASH MALHI
Akash serves as our Director of Finance and Operations, bringing over 7 years of experience across various industries and holding a Chartered Professional Accountant designation. His expertise ensures precision and insight in managing Maplewood Care Society’s finances. He is dedicated to enhancing finance strategies to achieve operational excellence, ultimately contributing to a safe and comfortable environment for our residents.
